Now that you've registered, here's what to do next: |
|
Step 1: Contact Your Instructor
Go to the list of online courses.
Click on the course(s) in which you are enrolled to get your instructor contact information.
Send each of your instructors an e-mail message to let them know that you are enrolled in their course, including your complete name & section number of the course. If you do not contact your instructor BEFORE the semester begins, you may miss out on important information regarding course requirements or meetings. |
Step 2: Get Your Orientation Information
While you are online, go to the SBCC Online Homepage and click on the Orientation Schedule to find out about your courses orientation and meeting requirements. You will be given your login information either via e-mail after you contact your instructor, or at the orientation. Specific instructions on how to begin each course will vary, so be sure to note the directions given by your instructor. |
Step 3: Know Your Technical Requirements & Support Information
Please visit our Requirements page, for information on the technical requirements for online classes.
If you are experiencing problems or have any questions, please fill out the ONLINE SUPPORT FORM. Your question will be responded to by one of our technicians or forwarded to the proper SBCC department right away.

Step 4: Bookmark the Online College website
For all online and distance learning courses, the central resource for information, such as instructors' e-mail addresses, course login page, book ordering online, orientation dates and times, is on the SBCC Online Homepage. Please bookmark it and check back frequently for online reference and announcements for the next semester's course offerings.
We highly recommend that all online students visit our Learning Resources Center online orientation web site to prepare for their courses.
Thank you. We hope you have an exciting and rewarding experience online. |
